Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a Physiotherapist?
No. Physiotherapists are primary healthcare professionals and a doctor’s referral is not required. However, some extended healthcare benefit providers require a medical referral, so you may want to check with your insurance provider or human resource department prior to your visit.
2. Do you accept and treat Motor Vehicle and WSIB claims?
Yes, we do. We are able to directly bill your auto insurance company or WSIB for your treatment as long as your claim is approved.
3. How long will the initial assessment be?
You should plan on approximately 60 minutes for your initial assessment. Please wear or bring comfortable clothing to your assessment.
4. How are my treatments covered?
Our services are covered by most extended healthcare benefit insurance plans. Check with your plan provider to determine your coverage. WSIB and Automobile insurance may also provide coverage. Clients may also pay privately if not qualified for insurance coverage. We accept Debit, Visa, and Mastercard.
5. Do you direct bill to my insurance company for my Physiotherapy?
We direct bill to numerous insurance company providers. Please speak with one of our staff for details and bring your insurance information to your initial visit.
6. Are your Therapists Registered?
Yes. Our Physiotherapist and Massage Therapists are registered and licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario. Visit our staff biographies here.
7. How many treatments will I need?
Following your initial assessment and in consultation with you, your therapist will be able to provide you with more details of the length and frequency of your specific timeline for recovery. This will depend on a number of factors, including the nature of your injury, the severity of the condition, your age, other diseases or conditions that you have, etc.
8. How do I book an appointment?
Booking an appointment is easy! Call the clinic at 519-271-9112 or submit an appointment request online.
9. Do I have to attend physiotherapy at the clinic my doctor referred me to?
No. You have the choice of whichever clinic you wish to attend. You do not have to attend at the specific clinic that may be listed on your doctor’s referral.
